 Summary:  The Residential Admissions Coordinator is responsible for coordinating client admissions, accepting referrals, coordinating departmental referral response, and ensuring customer service satisfaction.  The Residential Admissions Coordinator will also be responsible for case management, client support team communication (including case managers and placing agencies), applicant transportation, referral agency data-basing and program marketing support.

Education: A Master's degree in a Human Services field from an accredited college or university.

Experience: 2 to 5 years' experience working in the human services field.  A minimum of at least one year clinical experience providing direct services to children, adolescents and/or adults with a mental health diagnosis.  LMHP certification required. 

Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.


  • Coordinate with the Director of Admissions on assessing referrals for services eligibility, determining funding, assigning assessments and case review, submitting information into Intercept/DMAS electronic systems, logs inquiries and referrals into database daily, and coordinating and assisting with transportation needs.
  • Coordinate closely with other staff and community service providers through case management to ensure the appropriateness of treatment modalities and services being provided. Serve as a liaison to referral sources and parents regarding referral progress and needs.
  • Coordinate and facilitate all pre-placement interviews and site visits.
  • Generate and distribute acceptance and denial letters to referral sources.
  • Have an understanding and ability to navigate resources pertinent to the admissions process.
  • Maintain high quality of documentation in all case work, complete in a timely manner and consistent with program policies and licensure requirements.
  • Promote professionalism and customer service satisfaction at all times to ensure that referring agencies and associated customers are educated on Residential Services and Intercept's continuum of services.
  • Provide and/or participate in initial & ongoing staff training and/or seminar presentations as requested.


  • Perform clinical assessments of clients during pre-admission interview.
  • Diagnose clients utilizing the DSM- V with clinical consultation of the Director of Residential Services and/or Residential Clinical Coordinator.
  • Develop clinical treatment goals and plan for services needed to address clinical needs.
  • Utilize professional ethics and standards of practice when interacting with clients and community service providers.
  • Develop a therapeutic relationship with clients during the interview process that will encourage response to treatment interventions.
  • Maintain high quality clinical documentation of all case work, completed in a timely manner and consistent with outlined program policies and licensure requirements.


Participate in individual clinical supervision with the Director of Residential Services on a weekly basis. Opportunity will be provided to participate in monthly clinical group supervision.


Valid driving record, safe automobile, current and sufficient auto insurance. Successful completion of background screening. Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) and Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) that can provide clinical supervision must be able to supervise up to two employees towards their license.
