Summary:  The Accounting Supervisor will provide support, leadership and management guidance to staff and is responsible for monitoring bank activity, resident accounts, employee expenses and credit card lines of credit, as well as overseeing TFC Foster Parent billing of miscellaneous items for reimbursement. Will apply principles of accounting to execute reconciliation, analysis, and reporting as it relates to compliance and regulations.  

Education/Experience:  Associates degree in accounting or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred. At least 2-3 years of experience performing general accounting duties and at least 2 years of relative supervisory experience. Medicaid billing experience for a health or human services organization preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

General Duties

  • Report EFTs to Director of Finance and the Billing Manager
  • Update payment log for all bank accounts with deposits from previous day
  • Process and post ACH payments
  • Process positive pays as needed for all accounts (both manual and upload files)
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Update utility spreadsheets for import into accounting system
  • Review accounts payable batch
  • Record and process Lifebridge outpatient counseling commission payments
  • Review and reconcile payment posting exceptions
  • Record revenue for those services billed outside our accounting system and EMR
  • Review expense-level general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness and record journal entries as necessary

YOUTHQUEST ACCOUNTS

  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of YouthQuest accounting including processing weekly distributions, deposits, maintenance and report of individual account balances.
  • Input YouthQuest Resident account transactions into accounting system.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all YouthQuest residents' information, program information, and financial information.
  • Ensure final distribution of funds upon discharge.
  • Maintain files, including establishing new files as needed. Purge and package files for storage as necessary 

RESIDENT ACCOUNTS

  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of Resident Accounting including processing of weekly distributions, maintenance and reporting of individual account balances and posting of any deposits to the appropriate individual balance.
  • Maintain schedules of individual account balances for year-end audit and other reporting needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident information, program information, and financial information.
  • Ensure final distribution of funds upon resident discharge.
  • Maintain files, including establishing new files as needed. Purge and package files for storage as necessary. 

 

CREDIT CARDS AND OTHER EXPENSES

  • Issue, track and monitor company approved credit cards provided to appropriate staff at the time of position description approval.
  • Process expense reports.
  • Assign the correct general ledger account and department number to all credit card receipts and employee reimbursements.
  • Input employee reimbursement (cash) expense reports into accounting software.
  • Ensure all receipts and charges are accounted for. Follow up with staff on missing receipts.
  • Dispute fraudulent or erroneous charges with credit card companies.
  • Bill items to agencies for miscellaneous billing for reimbursement to IYS
  • Track mileage and expense reimbursements to avoid duplicate payments to associates.

 TFC FOSTER PARENT BILLING

  • Ensure agency is billed appropriately for all charges incurred by the foster parents for miscellaneous items.
  • Monitor reimbursements from agencies to ensure parents are reimbursed updating spreadsheet.
