Summary:  The School Community Liaison will provide marketing, service consultation, and customer service activities within the Business Development department, with a primary focus on building and maintaining Intercept's relationships with school systems throughout the state of Virginia. 

Education:   A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field from an accredited college or university; OR A Bachelors degree in Education, with an emphasis on Special Education. Master's degree highly preferred. 

Experience:  Three to five years of experience in school leadership, school counseling, or Special Education. Experience in marketing, public relations, and/or program development is a plus.


Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.



  • Identify growth prospects for Intercept's Therapeutic Day Treatment services.
  • Create and execute marketing plans with the TDT Program Director and Business Development team.
  • Develop new business relationships with viable counties/school systems.
  • Coordinate the creation, production, and dissemination of marketing materials and gifts.
  • Coordinate with the TDT Program Directors and Marketing team on convention exhibits and vendor participation at pertinent events.
  • Travel to, and participates in conventions, school faculty/staff meetings and IYS staff meetings as needed.
  • Coordinate informational presentations with new locality prospects and follow up effectively.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for the development of new programs desirable to the marketplace.
  • Provide feedback and advice to TDT Program Coordinators regarding market trends and effective relationship building.
  • Assesses the ongoing service needs pertinent to current and new program development.



  • Proactively addressee Public Relations issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with the TDT Program Director on trainings related to field trends/shifts (DMAS, DBHDS, OHR regulations, etc.).
  • Collaborate with senior TDT staff regarding TDT-specific issues with School Boards, Principals, CSA's, and key personnel.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with community/ consumer/employee/public interest group representatives.
