The HR Operations Manager will work directly with the Director to plan and administer policies, practices and processes relating to all phases of human resources activity; including benefits administration, training and development, employee relations, records/compliance management, HRIS management, and employee engagement, while leading the HR team in providing a consistently high level of support to internal clients.


Bachelor degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university. Master degree and or SHRM/HRCI

certification a plus; at least 3 years of experience in a HR Generalist role; HR policy development and project management experience preferred; previous supervisory experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Plans, coordinates, and/or supports all human resource functions including benefits administration, training and development, employee relations, records/compliance management, HRIS management and employee engagement activities as needed.
  • Seeks to incorporate Intercept's mission, vision and values while streamlining processes and building standard operating procedures that provide ongoing support for staff in and outside of HR. 
  • Leads HR Analysts/Consultants within the department by promoting collaborative customer service and team accountability, mentoring, facilitating cross training, offering creative solutions, and serving as back-up during high workload situations.
  • Coordinates with the Business Units and Support departments to support various communications and needed initiatives. (i.e. Ensures pay changes are submitted timely and properly to payroll.  Communicates employee status changes such as promotions, transfers, and termination changes across departments.  Promotes employee engagement activities as needed.)
  • Advises management in the appropriate resolution of employee relations issues; conducts or coordinates investigation of employee grievances; and represents the company at personnel-related hearings and investigations.  Trains managers on human resource practices and procedures.
  • Reviews all federal, state, local, and regulatory requirements and recommends, develops, and implements needed processes and procedures.
  • Supports the benefits administration function by responding to exceptions, communicating with employees as needed, assisting with open enrollment activities and 5500 preparations.
  • Supports tracking of performance management activities to include the annual review process. 
  • Supports file compliance by being "review ready" at all times.  Utilizes feedback from HR staff, managers, licensing groups, and the Compliance Department to continually refine and improve files.
  • Oversees the classification of job positions to comply with FLSA requirements.
  • Acts as a liaison to the talent development/recruitment team to ensure continuity of services across the HR department. 
  • Coordinates with HRIS providers to implement new functions within the Agency.
  • Leads EEO and OSHA reporting, Worker's Compensation, ADA and FMLA processes and tracking.
  • Provides accurate and timely reports to facilitate strategic plans for various initiatives that support business objectives.


This position is part of the supervisory staff in Human Resources.


Valid driving record, use of personal vehicle required. Must provide proof of insurance. PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
