Summary:           The Outpatient Supervisor is responsible for overseeing clinical and administrative activities relating to outpatient referrals for individuals, families, couples, and groups receiving Outpatient Services with Intercept. Responsible for supervising Resident Outpatient clinicians and assuming a lead role in the Lifebridge program.

 

Education:          Must be a Licensed Mental Healthcare Provider registered with the Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Health with at least 3 years of postgraduate clinical experience providing direct services to adults and/or youth with a mental health diagnosis, and at least 2 years of relative supervisory experience. Must be approved to provide licensure supervision to Residents in Counseling and/or Supervisees in Social Work.

 

Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

 

Outpatient Therapy

         Will provide at least 25 hours of outpatient counseling weekly.

         Will hire and train outpatient clinicians.

  • Supervises Residents and/or Supervisees in Social Work who are providing outpatient counseling services.

         Provide crisis intervention as necessary during available hours. Implement alternative crisis contacts and planning as needed if therapist is not available. Continually assesses clients for increased service needs.

         Conduct and prepare written diagnostic assessments. Utilize various assessment instruments as needed within scope of expertise.

         Develop and implement treatment plans as needed and document services provided to maintain compliance with DBHDS and Payor regulations.

  • Develop, maintain, and effectively implement client discharge plans (including mobilization of resources for ongoing maintenance, rehabilitation & recovery).

         Maintain high quality standards for services rendered by adhering to appropriate licensing Board's Ethical Standards.

         May assist with other CBS services including but not limited to completing initial assessments and supervising staff.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Maintain fluency in knowledge and practice of all Medicaid and DBHDS requirements.
  • Participate in supervision and team meetings as scheduled.
  • Ensure clinical documentation compliance (completion of initial screenings, diagnosis at intake for billing requirements utilizing DSM-V criteria, session documentation, services plans/reviews if required by insurance, discharge planning and recommendations, any other forms/documentation required by insurance provider for reimbursement or ethical documentation of services).
  • Partners with the Accounting and Utilization Review Department to insure clinical records are in compliance and service reimbursement is secured.
  • Participate in relevant marketing events for the Lifebridge program.
