Summary:           The EM Outreach Agent works with the Director of Therapeutic Mentoring and the Program Supervisor to provide Electronic Monitoring and Outreach Services in a timely manner. Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the electronic monitors inventory and assisting with all monitoring needs. Must have a personal computer and sufficient internet connection.

Education:          High School Diploma or GED required; and one to two years of related supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university highly preferred.

Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

GENERAL

  • Assist the EM/Outreach Coordinator in expediting electronic monitoring and Outreach Services.
  • Conducting ankle monitor installations/removals for juveniles requiring the service.
  • Sending daily email updates/reports to the juvenile's respective worker.
  • Communicate Electronic Monitoring alarms within a timely manner.
  • Conduct face to face surveillance checks at the juvenile's home as necessary.
  • Reorder and return EM units as necessary.
  • Responsible for ordering supplies as it pertains to electronic monitoring installations.
  • Maintain high quality documentation of all work, completed in a timely manner and consistent with outlined program policies.
  • Use good interpersonal communication skills to gain client cooperation and resolve client conflicts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with case managers, social workers, and guardians regarding client progress.

ENVIRONMENT

  • Adhere to safety and security guidelines.
  • Assist in proper use and storage of supplies, equipment, etc.
  • Maintain facility in clean, safe condition.
  • Report potential hazards to supervisor.

REQUIRED MEETINGS

  • Attend staff meeting as scheduled
  • Meet with 360 Transitional Solutions Supervisor, as determined.
  • Meet with program managers, parole/probation officers, and/or social workers for case updates (when approved by mentor supervisor).

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in 1:1 and small group situations to associated stakeholders.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Current driver's license, safe automobile, and current and sufficient auto insurance.  Tuberculosis test/screening, CPR & First Aid Certification, and behavior management training certification. Must possess own vehicle or reliable transportation in order to meet Transitional specialists work expectations.

  • Phone-related tasks require the ability to hear and speak.
  • Working with clients includes having the physical abilities to perform physical restraints (in accordance with requirements set forth by Crisis Wave or other behavioral management training).
  • Client supports occasionally requires the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and taste or smell.
  • Transporting clients and recreational equipment requires operating a motor vehicle for 1-2 hours at a time, and may require to lifting or moving up to 10 pounds.
  • Copying, filing, and record keeping duties require the ability to stand, sit, and move from position to position easily.
  • Computer work requires the ability to input data from a keyboard quickly and efficiently (use of fingers/ability to feel).
  • Close computer work requires clear vision as well as ability to adjust focus when returning to other tasks.
