Summary: The Clinical Manager will oversee medication management, provide and procure psychotherapeutic interventions, facilitate the development, implementation and modification of individualized service plans, lead treatment team, and provide case management services.

Education & Experience:  At least a master's degree in a human services field and two years of professional experience working with children, one of which must have been in a residential facility for children.  Must be a licensed mental health professional (LMHP) in the state of Virginia and a certified sex offender treatment provider (CSOTP) or under CSOTP supervision.

Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly individual counseling and documentation.
  • Provide weekly group counseling sessions and documentation.
  • Treatment plan review or residents at weekly team meetings.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed.
  • Develop treatment plans and report regularly on progress.
  • Serve as a clinical liaison to referral sources and family regarding resident progress and needs.
  • Take part in weekly multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Develop and implement plans for individual resident discharges.
  • Coordinate closely with other staff to ensure the appropriateness of treatment modalities.
  • Exercise sound judgment in proposing changes to resident treatment plans.
  • Focus on instruction, guidance, and competency training of each level's independent living skills and strategies, using both group and individual instruction.
  • Utilizes knowledge of CSA, social services, and treatment modalities in presentations to FAPT team and public relations opportunities.
  • Attends all FAPT review meetings and reports on resident's therapeutic progress and discharge plan.
  • Regular discussions of residents' issues, progress with social workers and probation officers.
  • Meet with social workers and probation officers for Quarterly Progress and discharge planning.


  • Provide supervision for post-graduate candidates as needed.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining a cohesive, energetic and effective team.
  • Accepts full and direct supervisory responsibility over the Staff Supervisor, Day Counselor, Life Skills Counselor, and Activities Counselor as well as oversight responsibilities for all staff members.
  • Accepts full responsibility for effective execution of behavior program within the group home.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with program's operational budget.
  • Works in cooperation with Human Resource Manager and direct supervisor to provide and/or arrange for in-service and other training for staff on relevant topics.
  • Familiarizes self with federal, state, local, and regulatory requirements including Interdepartmental licensure standards and ensures Intercept House's compliance.
  • Maintains licensure review file and coordinates with Regional Program manager on suggested action plan.
