The Total Rewards Consultant will provide counsel and oversight to ensure compliance, consistency, and fairness on all HR related topics to business unit leaders. Will work directly with the HR Operations Manager and the Director of Human Resources to administer policies, practices, and processes relating to employee relations and other phases of HR activities. This role will have a primary focus on building and maintaining an attractive compensation and benefits structure.


Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development or equivalent, with at least five years of progressive experience in Human Resources positions or related area. Previous compensation and benefits experience highly sought. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.


 Partners with HR management team and benefit brokers on renewals, plan designs, plan options, and best practices.

Assists in the development, implantation and ongoing administration of the company's compensation plan to ensure equity and consistency.

Creates and distributes internal benefit announcements such as open enrollment flyers, worker's compensation announcements and other communications related to Intercept's pay and benefit plans.

Implements human resources programs by providing human resources services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, training and development, records management, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations; completing personnel transactions.

Communicates with department heads, employees to ensure compliance with, FMLA, STD, LTD and worker's compensation.

Assist with employee relations actions as needed, document findings, and make recommendations to the HR Operations Manager and/or Director of Human Resources.

Enroll/terminate business unit employee benefits in a timely manner. Answer employee benefits questions and conduct benefits orientations as needed.

Work with payroll to ensure compensation and benefit deductions are reflected correctly on the employee's paycheck.

Monitor employee and benefits census to ensure enrollees are eligible for benefits and are adequately notified of such eligibility and the enrollment process.
