Senior Clinical Manager 

Full-Time/Salaried/Exempt

Summary:

The Senior Clinical Manager of community homes shall assist with providing the direct oversight of clinical services within community homes, including Fresh Start, through the execution of various duties.

Education:

Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling/Rehabilitation, Psychology, or other human services degree

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Must possess an unrestricted license issued by the applicable board regulating the profession in question: Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor
  • Pursue or possess Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider (CSOTP)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in a behavioral health setting
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in working with youth with mental health and/or substance use, and/or intellectual disabilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the assessment of clinical services as executed in various community home programs.
  • Assist with the research, evaluation, training, and implementation of therapeutic interventions that will increase the clinical effectiveness of community homes as provided by clinicians and other community home staff in order to promote positive outcomes for youth served.
  • Develop and maintain a case load of (6-8) outpatient clients.
  • Conduct site visits of all community homes once monthly or more if needed to ensure that clinical processes and other duties are being carried out in the community home setting. (Observation, direct interactions, etc.)
  • Assist with the ongoing development and maintenance of the training and orientation of new clinicians.
  • Assist with researching and obtaining free psycho-education materials to be distributed throughout community homes and Fresh Start programs (SAMHSA, NIDA, etc.) in order to better educate youth, legal guardians, families, staff and others regarding needs related to mental health, substance use, and overall health and well-being.
  • Assess and ultimately approve documentation submitted by license eligible clinicians and/or licensed clinicians as deemed appropriate.
  • Provide coverage for clinicians in community homes and Fresh Start as needed. (i.e.  due to maternity leave, vacant position, sickness, etc.)
  • Assist with the oversight of all matters regarding Medicaid (Magellan), and other pay for sources for community homes, Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, etc. as to ensure that all eligible clinicians are certified and credentialed in managed care options and are prepared to complete necessary documentation needed to maximize utilization which includes the following:
  1. Comply with billing expectations
  2. Regulatory compliance
  3. Changes in regulations
  4. Internal policies and procedures related to the above
  • Assist with providing clinical judgement and expertise regarding the admission of new residents into community home and Fresh Start programs

Clinical Supervision:

  • Assist clinicians with developing and facilitating monthly training that will promote positive outcomes for successful resident discharges.
  • Assist with conducting annual performance evaluations for all community home and Fresh Start clinicians.
  • Provide clinical supervision to Clinicians as outlined in Intercept Youth Services policies and procedures.
