Intercept Youth Services is currently hiring a Residential Admissions Manager in our Richmond location. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to make an impact on the lives of others!

Summary:    The Residential Admissions Manager is responsible for the overall client admissions and referrals for the residential services department and for children with serious emotional and behavioral disturbances.    

 

Education: A minimum of a Master's Degree in a Human Services field (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, etc.) from an accredited college or university. Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Health Professions.

 

Experience:   At least five years' experience providing clinical services with clients with a mental health diagnoses.  Three years of experience in leadership, supervision, and or/training staff.  Previous experience working in a residential treatment facility preferred.

 

Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

 

ADMISSIONS

  • Lead all aspects of the Residential Admissions function by ensuring coordination referrals and assessments for services eligibility, determining funding, assigning assessments, submitting information on Intercept/DMAS electronic systems, and assigning/scheduling cases.
  • Ensure coordination of case management with other staff and community service providers to ensure the appropriateness of treatment modalities and services being provided. Serve as liaison to referral sources and parents regarding progress and needs as needed or required.
  • Coordinate and facilitate all pre-placement interviews and site visits.
  • Ensure generation and distribution acceptance and denial letters to referral sources.
  • Ensure high quality clinical documentation in all case work. Ensure documentation is completed in a timely manner and consistent with program policies and licensure requirements.
  • Promote professionalism and customer service satisfaction at all times to ensure that referring agencies and associated customers are educated on Intercept's continuum of services.
  • Perform analysis on intakes, referrals, and reviewing customer satisfaction to ensure effectiveness of the function.

 

CLINICAL SERVICES

  • Perform clinical assessments of clients during pre-admission interview.
  • Diagnose clients utilizing the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM V). Develop clinical treatment goals and plan for services needed to address clinical needs.
  • Utilize professional ethics and standards of practice when interacting with clients and community service providers.
  • Develop a therapeutic relationship with clients that will encourage response to treatment interventions.
  • Develop and implement plans for admission including mobilization of resources
  • Maintain high quality clinical documentation of all case work, completed in a timely manner and consistent with outlined program policies and licensure requirements.
  • Participate in FAPT meetings and court hearings as needed.

 

SUPERVISION

  • Hire employees based on Intercept values/policies and procedures, licensing agencies, funding entities, local, state, federal requirements.
  • Orient and train employees to ensure they have the information, technology, and reference materials necessary to perform their job.
  • Delegate to and evaluate staff to meet the needs of the program. Ensure individual staff development that strengthens the employee's personal goals and aspirations.
  • Oversee the timely submittal of staff timesheets. Approve requests for leave based on Intercept policy/procedure.
