SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance Specialist performs file audits to evaluate contractual and regulatory adherence to regulations as well as our own policies and procedures. Participates in development of audit tools, conducts file reviews with objectivity and accuracy, appropriately escalates areas of concern and participates in meeting presentations of audit results. Actively participates in departmental initiatives to improve overall audit process and compliance among business units.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST Utilize and maintain current knowledge of all state and federal regulatory standards and Intercept policies and procedures to support compliance for assigned programs. Conduct monthly reviews of each assigned program. Each review should include, but is not limited to, content review of client records and travelling throughout the state to conduct onsite reviews. Prepare discharge client charts for storage by verifying final compliance, organizing documents, transporting and storing documents using internal protocol. Provide real-time assistance in retrieving documents requested by regulating bodies. Report findings timely after completion of the compliance review to inform assigned program of potential risk. This position requires a necessity of travel (to conferences, remote program locations, etc.), as well as the ability to operate a motor vehicle with or without accommodation.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE A bachelor's degree in the human services field and a minimum of three years experience in the human services field is required. Audit experience in behavioral health field is strongly preferred.

Valid Driver's License and favorable driving record (more than -5 driver points, no more than 3 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the last 3 years; no DUIs in the last 5 years)
