Resident Overnight Counselor Full-time, Hourly/Nonexempt Reports to the Staff Supervisor

Summary The Resident Overnight Counselor serves as direct care staff for the overnight hours of the community home, serves as a positive role model for residents to observe and learn socially effective values, attitudes, and behaviors. Also contributes to the formation and implementation of the resident treatment plan.

Responsibilities:

Complete rounds regularly to ensure residents are following community home rules

Check residents daily points, calculate, post on board, and complete census book nightly

Ensure residents have been awakened on time and daily schedule is followed

Ensure resident hygiene protocols are followed

Address special needs projects prepared by Program Manager or Staff Supervisor

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a human services field plus one year of related work experience, or

Associate's degree in a human services field plus three years of related work experience, or

a high school diploma or GED plus four years of related work experience, or

equivalent combination of education and experience

Valid Driver's License and favorable driving record (no more than 2 moving violations and one at-fault accident in the last 3 years; no DUIs in the last 5 years)
